Accessible Content Should Not Be an Afterthought Nor a Scramble |
The European Accessibility Act (EAA) made it clear: alt text is no longer optional, and a repeated figure caption won't cut it. The Future of Reference Material - Interview with Mark Gross, President of DCL
In 2013, Mark Gross sat down with Good e-Reader to discuss the future of reference books. Encyclopedia Britannica had just announced that it had created its last print edition. Mark shared his thoughts on what this trend meant for academia and discussed the perception of what value a book has. DCL had converted six specialized encyclopedias that year.
